Costa Calida/Murica has many beautiful locations within its borders that are surrounded with wonderful villages packed with Spanish culture. The Costa Calida coastline starts at San Pedro on the Mediterranean and then joins the Mar Menor, a water inlet, known as ‘the little sea’.  A strip of land only 100 metres wide at its narrowest, separates the Mediterranean from this inlet, this is known as La Manga strip.  La Manga is a real favourite with the Spanish, who escape here from the large cities in the summer months.
La Manga ‘strip’ as it is known, is home to a fabulous Marina, where luxury yachts are moored, along with fabulous restaurants and café bars. La Manga is accessed by road or (in season) from the mainland by ferry across the Mar Menor from numerous points. Around the inlet are gorgeous beaches and small coastal towns, still some would say a sleepy location where the pace of life is definitely slower than its neighbour the Costa Blanca.

The area is also famous for its popular La Manga Club resort, which features 3 golf courses, a tennis academy, and town centre’s that offer restaurants, bars and all the amenities required for a 5 star resort.

This location is home to over a dozen first class golf courses including the Polaris World Resort and Roda Golf and Beach Resort.  It is a golfer’s paradise and even though the location is extremely popular it manages to maintain its miles of unspoiled countryside and farm land.
