Today is the ‘Fiesta de la Comunidad de Madrid’ or ‘Day of Madrid.’ The residents of Madrid have a holiday today, and will be spending the day celebrating their beautiful city. This day marks the anniversary of an uprising from the people of Madrid, against French Troops in 1808.
So, today many businesses are closed and public transport schedules will be reduced, as the people of Madrid come together to spend time celebrating their wonderful city and enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
The temperature is rising too with highs of 27 degrees expected, another beautiful sunny Saturday for our friends in the sun. Dreaming of Madrid yet? We certainly are….
